Volunteers are a VERY important part of IWC – we could not put on the conference without all you wonderful volunteers.

For this conference, we will be giving the first 75 people that volunteer 8 hours or more during the conference a free IWC 2025 stick shuttle!

We have a new and easier system for signing up to be a volunteer. Go to this web page to sign up as a volunteer:

Volunteer Page

The page has tabs for each area that needs volunteers. In each tab, you will see information about where the shift is, what needs to be done, the hours for each shift and the number of people that are needed. You will also see if there are people already signed up for the shift.
We are looking forward to holding IWC in the Albuquerque Convention Center. This allows us to hold all of our classes and events in one building. All of the classes and the Celebration of Fiber and Board and Leaders shows will be on the same floor. The remainder of the activities will be in the same building two floors above the classes with easy access using elevations or escalators. This will be the most compact conference IWC has ever hosted.

All of our activities will be in the West building. The classes and shows will be on the Lower level. The meals, vendors, raffle baskets and silent auction will be in Ballroom C on the Upper Level.

We are excited to extend a special invitation to all you fiber artists to participate in the upcoming
Intermountain Weavers Conference Fashion Show. This event is a highlight of Conferences and is anticipated by many. It’s an opportunity to share the beautiful things you weave with the community and your friends.

If your talent is dishtowels, ask a friend to model one or two. Table runners make great shawls and scarves. The options for creativity at this event are endless. This is a fun opportunity to create inside and outside of your comfort zone.

It is through sharing our creativity, our talent, and art that we build our guild organizations and fiber
communities. These relationships last a lifetime.

We encourage all those interested in participating to begin planning their projects for the fashion show. Now is the time to start creating so we can share with others the strides and accomplishments we experience as we work on our projects each day. Be inspired by the beauty of the fiber, nature, and the colors around you.
The Celebration of Fiber is a non-juried exhibit of IWC members’ work. We would like to encourage all IWC member attendees of the 2023 Conference to submit one or two pieces for this show. There will be several awards sponsored by various fiber organizations in addition to IWC—including the ever-popular People’s Choice Award.
